St Dymphna Opens in Rwanda
I am pleased to announce the opening of the offices of St Dymphna Global Psychotherapy Resources in Kigali, Rwanda. St Dymphna will provide tele-mental health via a secure Internet platform using licensed counselors in the US and trained translators in Kigali. Mrs. Jeanne Uwimana is the Program Coordinator in Kigali and she will be handling appointments requests. Our clinicians are trained to address depression, anxiety, trauma, and issues among other disorders. St Dymphna is already providing this same service in Lviv, Ukraine under the leadership of Alex Antonuik, the Practice Manger for Brannon La Force, LPC-S & Associates.
At present, St Dymphna offers tele-mental health at no cost to our clients. As such, we are in need of financial support to expand these services. All contributions are tax deductible through St. Dymphna Global and 100% of your contribution goes to this work. We do not take any fees for administration.
If you would like to help with this effort to provide counseling to Ukrainians dealing with the effects of war in their country or Rwandans struggling with the aftermath of the genocide, please consider supporting this work. One session costs $15 and we want to provide at least six sessions per client at no cost to them. For a donation of $90, a Ukrainian or a Rwandan will greatly benefit. In the coming weeks, I will share some of the stories of the people we have been able to help–with their permission and with confidentiality assured.
